As part of our mission to foster a love for computer science in the next generation of coders, all our code is open sourced. And it always will be. So kick your legs back and dig into our 1500+ lines of Java and JavaScript code, and maybe you'll learn something new. Let this be your inspiration to start coding an app of your own!
Note: A lot of the iOS JavaScript code was written using an online Java-to-JavaScript converter (since the Java Android version was written first) and so the iOS code may not be the most efficient and elegant.Want to make an app but don't know where to start? ABOUT THE CREATOR
YUEN LER CHOW '21
Yuen Ler is a junior at Brookline High School with an avid interest in computer science. He was first introduced to the world of programming at the age of 10, through SCRATCH, a block-based, kid-friendly programming language. With his passion for programming ignited, he has been coding ever since. During his freshman year, Yuen Ler took a class in Python (MA1502) and self-studied Java for the AP Computer Science A exam. The summer after sophomore year, he attended The Beaver Works Summer Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he programmed a race car to drive autonomously. The BHS Schedule Tracker is Yuen Ler's most significant coding project to date. Outside of his programming endeavors, Yuen Ler runs cross country and track and is an actor in the BHS Drama Society. He also founded the BHS Magic Society and was its president during his freshman and sophomore years.
